Guidelines for authors ***

Please follow the guidelines below

The 'Teacherworld' Journal welcomes contributions form participants on a range of issues relating to education, however, in particular, participants are encouraged to submit articles which focus upon the following themes:

Teacher training and recruitment; Experience of black and minority ethnic teacher trainees in schools; Good practice in multicultural education; Mentoring and support for minority ethnic trainees; School policy and involvement in partnership training; Issues concerning barriers to access into teacher training courses; Institutional recruitment strategies that enhance diversity in student intake; Raising awareness about initial teacher training to minority ethnic pupils in schools; Minority ethnic teachers in the job market

a)     Full length articles (between 3000 and 5000 words)

All contributors forwarding full length articles MUST include a 1000 word summary which will feature on the web page.  The article itself will be available for downloading as Word or PDF file

b) Short articles, Critiques and Case studies (up to 2,500 words)

Software reviews

Web site reviews

Editors reserve the right to refuse or (with the approval of contributors) to edit all items sent in for publication on the site Journal.

Submission procedure

Due to the nature of the Journal, all submissions should be in electronic form. The editors will acknowledge the receipt of submission as soon as possible. Please submit via e-mail as attached files, or on a 3.5" disk. The preferred formats for submission are Word document and RTF.

For figures, BMP, GIF and JPEG (JPG) are the preferred formats.

Authors must supply separate figures in one of these formats even if they are embedded in text. In case the file(s) can't be opened, editors will contact the corresponding author by e-mail.

Please provide following details with each submission:

Author(s) full name(s) including title(s)

Name of corresponding author

Job title(s)

Organisation(s)

Full contact details of all authors including e-mail address, postal address, telephone

and fax numbers. Please indicate that the submission is for the Teacherworld Journal.
